羽化

道教称成仙。也婉指人死羽化而登仙； 昆虫的若虫(稚虫)或蛹蜕皮为成虫的过程。不完全变态的若虫(稚虫)大多经最后一次蜕皮羽化为成虫。完全变态的蛹，蜕去蛹壳即羽化为成虫。成虫是昆虫生活史的最后时期，羽化后的主要任务是交配产卵。
